DURING THE LATE EIGHTIES  I use  the BOAT as a metaphor to transport the work of conflict resolution.  The first boat in the series displays the four Guides to help solve the world’s political, social, and economic problems:

  1. 1. The Detective to find the problem,

  2. 2. The Sign of Yes or No to choose the problem,

  3. 3. The Magic Wand to make events happen, and

  4. 4. The Wisdom Box as a guide toward success.  (Virginia Satir, keynote AHP conference speech, 1986)

The “Full Sail Catamaran” represents the quality of ALL being in bloom, and waving with the winds.

“Riding on the Sea Saw” represents holding steady through rough seas.
